Our day trips leave our float base in the morning, flying you to your remote lake for the day where you will find fully equipped boats and motors. Spend the day fishing a secluded lake abundant with fighting walleye, perch, northern pike, smallmouth bass or trout, your choice.

Your lunch can be either a shore lunch of freshly caught fish or a box lunch and sandwiches prepared by our kitchen staff. We’ll pick you up late in the afternoon and bring you back to our base around 5 pm.

What a way to see our spectacular Canadian wilderness and enjoy an exciting day of fishing!

Pricing of the Fly-in Fishing Day Trip

These Day Trips are only done from our Floatplane Base in Cochenour/Red Lake.

$250 per person (Canadian Funds)

NOTES:

Costs may vary depending on the aircraft and the number of people attending.
All prices quoted in Canadian Funds.
Taxes and gratuities not included.
Fishing license and live bait not included.
Fishing Rods and Tackle available for day rent of $25.

Aircraft

The aircraft/float planes we utilize are a Beaver DHC-2 and a “Cessna 185”.

The Beaver Dhc-2, a single engine float plane, has a capacity of 4 to 6 persons.

The Cessna 185 is a single engine aircraft and has a capacity of 2-3 persons and of course is used for our smaller groups.

• Cessna 185 – 2 guests & 1 guide – guide’s air trip is included in the price.

Remote Fly-In Day Trips from the Lodge

Add to your stay at Cat Island Lodge an exciting fly-in fishing day trip to a remote lake for a day. Depart from Cat Island Lodge at 8 am, fly to another lake for a day of fishing and return at 5 pm. A great way to add a little adventure to your trip!

Cost is $300 USD per person for this Adventure.

Catch and Release and Conservation

To sustain the spectacular fisheries on these smaller lakes we offer catch and release or conservation limits only on all our day lakes. No trophies out.
