High Quality Fish Management Program
To ensure the quality of fishing at Headwaters Lake, we have implemented a consumption only policy, and only pictures of your trophy catches come out with you.
Our Headwaters Outpost is CATCH and RELEASE, consumption only while you are at the outpost lake. All Walleye over 19 inches and Northern Pike over 27 inches must be released.
No Fish Home, No Trophies Home.
Take a photo of your trophy and post it on our Facebook Page! This lake is in a High Quality Fish Management Program. Barbless hooks are recommended but not compulsory.
Besides the main body of water, Headwaters also offers two portages to Judy lake and the Cobham river. With all of these great fishing opportunities, a trophy fish is just a cast away. Our cabin is the only one on this lake.

Why July and August Are Often Best
A Fly in Fishing Outpost Vacation is often most popular with our guests at this time of the year. Weather is more stable and fishing is more consistent because of fewer cold fronts moving through.
Some lakes really turn on at this time of year and as an added plus, there are fewer bugs. A great time to bring the family or group.
